Has anybody else noticed the iphone’s tap spacebar and hold doesn’t always work?
sometimes only 50% of the times.
Is this being looked at / fixed in upcoming ios updates?

sorted, I just needed to wait a little longer before pressing the spacebar
i’m not excluding being me with my big clumsy fingers :)
It will work all the time for editing an existing paragraphs and texts
Probably you are moving it in the area where text has never been inserted, It will not move to new line. Press enter multiple times and try again.
This feature is not for a new line. It is for area where texts have already been entered and written
