Transaction amounts

I get confused at times when I link a card to my Apple account, but then a transaction hits my account that I’m unaware of from Apple. I will say it is partly my fault, because I don’t take the time to call Apple and ask what the money they removed from my account was for. Now it is getting outrageous, I’ve been getting numerous transactions from Apple of amounts that I never authorized that are $10 or more. I don’t purchase anything of that amount often, so it baffled me.
