iTunes keeps going to the TV Shows page automatically

I'm running iTunes version 12.9.0.164 on Mac OS Mojave version 10.14. I've been having this issue for several months now and haven't been able to find resolution.

The default page for iTunes when it launches for me is my list of Music. From the dropdown menu at the top left of the screen I can select to view Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts, and Audiobooks. Quite frequently, especially when I choose to navigate to Audiobooks, iTunes will randomly change my view to the TV Shows listing. I will then manually direct iTunes back to the page I actually want to view, and a few seconds later, iTunes may again revert back to the TV Shows listing all on its own. Worst case, this happens four times in a row before it finally stays on the page I want.

I have not been able to find any consistency with when and why iTunes changes the page I am viewing. This seems to occur entirely randomly and I have no way to tell or predict when iTunes will misbehave. One major issue I do notice is that the sidebar navigation on the Audiobooks page shows Recently Added and TV Shows as the available libraries instead of Author, Genre, etc that I would expect to see as library sorting methods.

Any ideas how to fix this so that iTunes stops randomly directing me to the TV Shows page?
