Hi apple community, i wanna ask that why iphone X has been discontinued ? and should i buy Iphone x now ? and would i receive update on iphone X for life time ? would it be up to date ?

Apple stopped selling the iPhone X when the new models were launched.
They only stopped the X. It was a special device and they wanted to preserve its value.
why they didn't stopped iphone 7 , 7plus, 8, 8 plus ? why Iphone X?
