Open Downloads in list format, highlight the images then drag them to the Photos icon on the dock. They will appear first in Imports then Photos. Sometimes you may be asked if you want to import - use the return key to accept.

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are trying to import some pictures into the Photos app that you sent from your iPhone to your Mac with AirDrop. On a Mac, files shared with AirDrop go to the Downloads folder, so you can import them into the Photos app with the steps in this Apple resource:

Is it necessary to do one shot at a time. Didn't want to let me do a group.
No, you should be able to send a few. In Photos select your shots then the upload arrow. Try six or so.
