I have taken time lapses a few times on my iPhone XR and so far the time lapse has been stuck on loading after I have completed the time lapse. This has happened twice now out of the few times I have used it.
Now I cannot trust the time lapse feature as I lose all the footage because it can’t be used. Is there a fix for this?

Hi! I know this is from some time ago, but I also had this issue. After trying a few different things, I realized it only happened to me if my live photos was turned on. Make sure to turn off live photos and then swipe to time lapse, and as far as I know the ones filmed that aren't loading won't ever load :(
I suggest you update your iPhone to iOS 12.3

very frustrating. Looks like ill lose a time lapse of my wife giving birth to our child.
Hopefully they can fix it and the video will be restored!
I have had the same issue three times iPhone X Pro. Latest OS as date of posting.

September 2020. 18 months later and the bug is still there. I shot a long time lapse and it is stuck in processing. Disappointed.
