How do I drag multiple files on Mac desktop into file folder on desktop

Trying to move about 15 files on my desktop into a folder with subfolders. Would be much easier if I could drag all the files at once. Please help...

  1. Press and hold shift, or command-key and then select each file to get your group of 15 files.
  2. Now, press the command-key, and then click and hold on any one of these files — dragging the entire group of files over the top of the target folder. The command-key makes this a move operation.
  3. When you see a white outline around the target folder, you can release the mouse and the files will be moved into that folder. Then release the command key.
    1. You can also drag the cluster of files over the target folder, and hover for a couple of seconds, and the folder will open, and you can then simply release the files in the open folder. Then release the command key.
