USB Accessories Disabled Macbook Air

My USB ports are disabled. When I plug in my iPhone, I get a message that says, "USB Accessories Disabled. Unplug to the accessory using too power to re-enable USB devices. Please help.

Have you unplugged all external devices from the laptop to see if the iPhone connects to the laptop? Are you using an official Apple cable to connect your iPhone as some third party cables can cause problems?

If the iPhone connects with the other devices disconnected, then you may want to use a reputable powered USB hub if you want to use all of those USB devices at the same time. The hub will supply power to the devices instead of the laptop.

Hey ZulaMae,

I see that your MacBook Air is having issues with the USB ports and you're unable to use them. I'd be happy to help out.

Do you have any other USB accessories plugged in? If so, try unplugging them and try connecting your iPhone again: Low power alert with USB devices, USB keyboard, and USB SuperDrive

In addition, try using another cable to connect your iPhone if one is available to you.

Cheers!
