Downloading to old ipod

I have recently downloaded some songs from Apple Music via iTunes on my desktop. I have the Apple Music subscription. iTunes is not letting me take those songs and download to my old iPod. How do I fix this?

You don't. Apple Music tracks can't be put onto an iPod nano.

iPod and itunes I have an old iPod that was connnected to an iTunes account on a windows computer. iTunes support for That windows version was dropped years ago. i have a few hundred songs that was left in the cloud that I want to download on my new iPad.
