Apple GiveBack

I want to purchase a new iPhone online at full price and trade in my old iPhone for purchase credit. Once my old phone is received and processed, will the credit be applied to the account used to make the purchase?

I was planning to use the trade-in value of my XR towards the new phone but I also have other devices, an iPhone 8 and a MacBook Air (2015), both of which are in perfect condition, that I was hoping to get a store credit from to also use towards the phone. My question is: can I apply for the store credits from those two devices now and then wait to use the credit when the prices for the iPhone 12 and 12 pro drop, or do I have to bring all the devices in at one time to do the transaction? what if i sold my ipad after i agreed to the trade in credit I purchased a new 12.9 iPad pro (most recent version) and I opted to trade in my older iPad pro (3rd generation 256gb). However, in the meantime I had a someone wanting to purchase the trade in device. I wasn't sure how this would affect the trade in and etc. I know that my monthly payment would go up but, I'm just trying to determine if this can be done or is it frowned upon since I already agreed to the trade in credit. Thanks for your help.
