I am trying to use a jpeg for my email signature but no matter what I do, it is blurry in the email. Help!!! It looks good here in the big version (below at bottom) but in email it looks like this small version. What settings do I need to choose to make it the appropriate dimensions for an email signature while retaining the resolution

Rebecca, did you ever resolve this issue to your satisfaction? In other words, did you decide to use the last image that I posted here before ASC removed them all? As I explained to you earlier, unless one is using a very high quality graphics plugin, enlarging or reducing an image almost always results in degradation/deterioration of the original image quality. The best way to go about this -- besides what VikingX suggested -- is to create a brand new image in the exact dimensions that you want to use in Apple Mail. That way, there will be no need to enlarge or reduce its size. I would be willing to make a new original for you, based on the 300 DPI image that I still have here. If you are interested in this, take a peek at my ASC profile. Thanks!

I don't know how or why it works, but a while back, I recall someone saying that if you create a graphic in Adobe Photoshop, and try to use it, it will be fuzzy, as you are currently experiencing. According to this person, if you paste your graphic into the Preview app, and then use it from there, the graphic becomes clear. I have not personally tried this myself, but that is what they said. I guess it is worth a shot, right? I mean, it couldn't hurt. :)

PS? A very expensive photo-editing software which some people absolutely love, and some people absolutely h-a-t-e, not only because it is quite expensive, but also because they are the ones who introduced subscription plans years ago, which is why I STILL use CS6, which will kick the bucket with 10.15. :(

Regarding the image, you need to understand that no matter what software you use, you will experience some degradation/deterioration when you resize an image . . . unless you use a plugin that is especially designed for that task.

This was just a quick job on my part, I may possibly be able to get it looking just a little better. One problem is that the original image is not of the highest quality. It is a bit blurred, and the DPI looks pretty low.

If you want the sharpest logo and text, do everything in a vector graphics tool at 300 dpi. Then export that vector content (including the text that has been converted to outlines e.g. vector) to SVG. All meaningful browsers now support the SVG format standard. Since your principal artwork is a solid color, strive to make it a web safe, RGB version of the chosen color.

By the way, I have asked the hosts to remove your posted artwork because it contains personal information. This is an open, Google archived site, and you have exposed yourself to the heartless trolls that will not respect your personal contact information.
