messages on macbook pro

Just recently set up a macbook pro. Connected to my apple id, my contacts are on the mac contacts app however, when i send or receive a message on the macbook no names come up. Only the numbers show, How can i resolve this?

contacts problem macos high sierra iMessages on my MacBook pro stopped displaying to my contact names. I checked contacts and that also isn't working. My iPad, Iphone and macpro all sync correctly but not the laptop. I tried disconnecting from iCloud and reinstalling the OS with no correction. Any ideas? Thank you in advance

Syncing contacts I recently purchased my first Mac, a MacBook Air. When I used Messages on my laptop not all contacts are showing up with the contacts name, only the number shows up. How can I resolve this?
