add text to a cell with a slider
Is is possible to have a cell with a slider and add some text to it? So if the slider has a percentage in it before the percentage number will be some text like "the current rate is" ?

Not possible. But try this. Use the concatenate (&) operator in another cell.
A2 is a Slider
Formula in B2 ="The current rate is "&A2
