Roland R5 Human Rhythm Composer drum machine with Logic Pro X

Does anyone know if a Roland r-5 human rhythm composer can be used to trigger drum sounds with Logic pro x? Would like to figure out a way to tap/enter the drum samples using this old drum machine. Can you assign each trigger pad a midi note/drum sample? Like assign the kick drum keypad to the kick drum keyboard equivalent? -Thanks!
