Mobile number greyed out on FaceTime and IMessage after phone reset

I’ll like to use my mobile number for FaceTime and iMessage but it’s not working. I’ve checked if the number is trusted and it is and I’ve reset the phone all settings. Still not possible to select number for FaceTime or iMessage. Only giving option to use Apple ID. I need help

Try to log out and then log back in.

If this doesn't resolve your issue, try to reset the network settings.

If still no luck, contact your carrier.

Add or remove your phone number in Messages or FaceTime - Apple Support
