How can I get my own pictures into the Mojave Slideshow?

Are you referring to the screensaver slideshow? If so then assemble an album of your photos in your Photos library, go to the System/Desktop & Screen Saver preference pane, select the theme, click on the dropdown menu to select the Photos library and the album inside it;
