The operation can’t be completed because the item "" is in use. Hello, I was cleaning up my Western Digital Hard Drive and one of the folders in the trash continues to show the above error. I have seen multiple similar questions asked here, however, the responses were not helpful and did not resolve my issue. I am at a loss how can I remove the folder that does not want to be deleted from the trash bin from my hard drive.

Deleted folder keeps reappearing on trash (even after deleting it multiple times) Hi there! I've been having this issue for about 5 months, and it's bugging me a lot. I deleted a folder (with nothing in it, just a empty folder), but it keeps reappearing in trash. I'll go and "delete immediately", and 2 seconds pass and it's back in trash again. I tried everything (even using terminal). It's still here! I would be grateful if someone could help me! Thanks!

Try shutting down and rebooting with the shift key depressed
