Still using Macbook Pro with MS office 2011. Buying new Macbook and seems reasonable to update to MS office for Mac 2019. Will there be file incompatibilities or other problems with existing word/excel files. Latest installed update on current 2011 program is v14.4.2.
Macbook runs Yosemite 10.10.5.

Thanks for your help. I'm presuming the compatibility will extend to exporting all my Outlook email folders/contents to the new Outlook as well. Right?
I don't use Outlook so I can't personally vouch for that, but I would be completely surprised and shocked if it did not given Microsoft Office history of compatibility.
