Can't add Google account since iOS 12.2
Hello everyone. Within the last couple of days I have upgraded my iPhone XS to iOS 12.2. Since then one of my Google accounts would not connect at all. I tried deleting the account to re-add it and it goes into this loop of not being able to add it.
Steps I've taken to add the account:
- Select Google from the accounts
- Drop in my username and password as it prompts you to do.
- Put in the 2-step authentication code as I have 2-step verify setup.
After this is done, the OS will just bring me back to the list of accounts that you can select from. Essentially nothing happens.
Other things to note:
- I've tried restarting the phone and tying it again. No dice.
- I tried on Wifi and on LTE only. No change.
- I even tried to add the account on a different iPhone that has been recently upgraded to iOS 12.2. Same result.
- I think this is telling as this is on a completely different iPhone with a different iCloud account. So it appears that it's happening on multiple devices regarding of account. We are both on iOS 12.2.
If anyone has a similar issue or can provide a fix, I'm all ears.
