Skype

Hello! I have vintage iPad 3 and today Skype said: you need new version iOS 10. But I have last version iOS 9.5.3 and can't install iOS 10 and later. Help me! How I can have Skype??

Microsoft, which has owned Skype for awhile, has removed all older versions of Skype for iOS and all of the older versions of its Microsoft Office apps for iOS basically leaving all older iDevices behind for good.

I have no clue why Microsoft couldn't let existing app users still actual use the older versions they had, but Microsoft has made this decision and cutoff all support for older iOS Skype versions.

The only way to get Microsoft apps, like Skype, now, is to purchase a iPad that is capable of running iOS 10 or later.

iPad 2 is 8 years old, now.

iPad 3, as of this April will be 7 years old and iPad 4 models will be 7 years old by the Fall of 2019.

Apple stopped supporting these devices well over 2 and 3 years, ago and some third party app developers have been more quickly moving away from supporting older iDevices running iOS 9 and earlier.

No computing device is forever.

Time to purchase a new iPad from Apple or a discounted, refurbished model from the Apple Website under their Certified Refurbished & Clearance store section of their Website.
