TRIM function missing in Mojave finder & quick look, just for AUDIO files

Hey Pros, as you may all know there's built-in Trim function now in Mojave for both video and audio files

But in my case there's only TRIM button for video files, like mp4

but not for common audio files like mp3

Any terminal command should I run to fix this please?

With appreciation

Marcus

No it does not dear

1 As I mentioned, TRIM is enabled in preference

2 TRIM button/menu will show for video files in Finder&Quick Look like mp4

but for common AUDIO files like mp3, it will not.

And I tested it does not make any difference whether you're using Mac built-in app(like iTunes) or not to open audio files by default.

I've also changed default apps for video files and the TRIM button is available at all times.

Suggestion:

  1. Go to the "Extensions" preference pane in the "System Preferences" app.
  2. Scroll down to the Finder selection in the left column.
  3. Make sure that "Trim" is enabled in the right side of the window.

You should now see the "Trim" option when you hover over an audio file in the Finder, right-click it, and select the "Quick Actions" menu option.

Let me know if this helps. Thanks1
