I am going to use my iPhone to use SQUARE for payment on sold items. My iwatch4 is also blue toothed along with my powerboat ear phones. Do I have to disconnect something in order to use Square Pay?

The general answer is you can have up to 7 Bluetooth devices connected simultaneously. That's not specifically an iPhone limit, it is a Bluetooth standards limit. There are some things that use more than one connection; AirPods, for example, when making a phone call or using Siri. And if you have the Tile app it will connect to all of the tiles within range unless you go into the app's settings and select Connectivity, then Limit connections. But if you open Settings/Bluetooth you can see instantly how many devices are connected.

The iPhone can handle multiple bluetooth items all at once. That sounds like you'll have 3 devices connected through bluetooth, which should be fine.

Ok thanks Lyssa, I purchased the square chip reader from Amazon as it cost less. Will Square give me advice do you think or do I need to go back to Amazon.

I have been trying to pair the square to my iPhone XSM and it will not pair. I have my watch and it is paired. I have my little Powerbeats but that is not connected unless I use it. I also have one for my car and that is it. It lists 3 but the square just won't pair plus I am a novice when it comes to Apple even though I have two computers, phone, watch, really don't know how to maneuver around with them. Can you think of anything I am not doing correctly? I wait for the four orange lights and the bluetooth is on but just spins and spins. Thanks for helping me.
It is a brand new card reader plus they gave me that little strip card reader also. That one I plug into bottom of phone correct? But I would like to be able to connect the square chip.reader also. Most folks have chip cards.

It's possible you have a defective reader - contact Square's tech support to see if they can help. If other bluetooth devices can connect with your phone, then your phone's bluetooth is working as expected.
