Its a iPhone 5 and I'm stuck on an update from for ever ago.
I've plugged it into iTunes and done that, restored it lost all my data. I've done everything I can think of! I wonder if it not being able to update is the problem as to why I cant connect to my MacBook via bluetooth..
whatever it might be I'd ike to be up to date with a new update on my phone!

To avoid misunderstandings:
IPhones model 5 or model 5c can't go past iOS 10.3.3 version.
IPhone 5s does support iOS latest version (now 12.2).
It's a matter of software-hardware compatibility.

Hi some updates can take time depending on your internet connection.
can you confirm what iOS your on currently?
Also be sure to make sure the iPhone is fully charged or plugged in.
