Good point. I booted into Safe Mode and nothing happened. However, while I was in there I ran Cocktail. It is a general purpose housecleaning app that cleans out caches, etc. After doing that and rebooting, I was automatically presented with the dialogue box for updating. This time it worked.
Just needed a cocktail.
Thanks for your reply. I'd already seen that page and it was of no help.
Try doing it again after starting in Safe Mode (hold the SHIFT key while restarting).
I tried that and, at first, no joy. While still in Safe Mode I ran Cocktail. Restarted and tried again. This time it seems to have worked. Thanks for all the suggestions!
No, it's for updating the Mac. And I am having exactly the same problem. If we start in safe mode, where do we go to find the installation request??
Just initiate the update and it will prompt for the update if it is needed.
