Preview—why do PDF hyperlinks work on my Macbook but not my Mac Pro?

Hi all

I have two Macs both running the same latest version of OSX (10.14.3). On the 2015 Macbook, I have PDFs with hyperlinks in the contents page and throughout the document and all works as expected.

On the 2010 Mac Pro, no hyperlinks are visible. This is very frustrating!

This is on the same PDF file.

Search also seems erratic on the Pro. Sometimes I need to close and reload a PDF before it works.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance,

Stephen

Quit Preview. Go to your local Cache folder (~/Library/Caches). Look for any com.apple.Preview folder and move it to the Trash. Launch Preview with the shift key down, and then open that PDF. Links now present?
