Unable to update Apple Watch

Unable to update Apple Watch. Message about not being connected to the internet appears. Connected to Wi-Fi along with cellular service. Watch is not holding a normal charge. Updates usually create this problem for me. Rebooted several times and the message doesn’t go away.
