How can I log back into my iCloud for imessaging and FaceTime it's not letting me do that currently

I have currently turned my iMessage and FaceTime off as I was trying too log back in both it was saying "waiting for activation " I tried pressing "apple id log in" but when I pressed it it wasn't popping up for me too even log in. I need assistance

iPhone 5, iOS 10

Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.

Try a restart.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Try a forced restart.
