Storage full message INCORRECTLY

I know everyone has problems with iPhone storage, filling up too quickly but mine feels more like a genuine problem. I have a 16gb iPhone SE.

So firstly, a problem just like everyone else has: my phones says I’ve used up more space than I have, the ‘other’ category. If I add up the memory used by every single app in the manage storage section (and I over estimate slightly) I get 3.1gb - but my phone says I have used up 9.8gb. Looking at the graphic in the storage section 3gb out of 10 looks about right for the storage taken up by apps and photos etc versus ‘other’. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an ‘other’ this big on another phone, so that *****.

The second problem: even with this naff scenario I should have 6gb of free space left, and my phone says that I do - but I still get storage full messages! I can’t download any more apps, I can’t take new photos, I constantly have to delete things so I can take a photo or download an app I need for a day and my phone is always offloading apps I need like Facebook messenger to free up storage for me.

If I had this 6gb of storage to play with (that I really SHOULD have, and my phone says I do) I wouldn’t even care about the nearly 7gb of ‘other’ storage used up - ridiculous though that is - because I’d still have three times as much as I currently do
