The ‘other’ storage issue

Hi!

i have an iPhone XS with 64gb of storage, last time I checked my storage I was on somewhere around 59Gb but for the past few days I’ve been getting a notification that my storage is full. Yet when I go on there i see that it’s mostly taken up by this ‘other’ category, I’ve done research and erased my safari cache and deleted and redownloaded my social media app as that took up space and yet the bar never went down and it still remains as full storage. I even deleted hundreds or almost a thousand photos and the storage won’t budge even a bit and I still can’t save any screenshots or take any photos on my phone because it says I have no storage! I connected my phone to my laptop and saw that the ‘other’ category took up over 15.57GB of storage and I’m so confused on what to do, can someone please help
