Backing up iPhone with broken screen

Are you absolutely certain you don't have an iTunes or iCloud backup? If not, then the link below is to an Apple Communities thread from Sept. 2017, that discusses an UNCONFIRMED SOLUTION, which may be cheaper than having the screen replaced on your iPhone X, ($29 in warranty/$279 out of warranty) and likely won't risk you losing any data from having the screen replaced.

(Note: If you are technically challenged, have someone who isn't, help you.)

Your iPhone X suffered a catastrophic event. Once a catastrophe occurs, it’s too late to create a backup. The backup must occur first.

The analogy would be having a bad automobile accident and then deciding it would be a good time to have some automobile insurance.

Sorry, my time is too valuable. If the original poster wants to try it, that’s certainly her/his prerogative.

You will need to replace the screen to do that unless you have a backup somewhere.
