Cannot get OnyX to run

Cannot get OnyX to run

I have current versions of both Mohave (10.14.4) and OnyX (3.6.0). When I attempt to run OnyX, I get as far as the "OnyX requires administrator privileges" dialog, but when I enter my admin password the program crashes, i.e., it imply doesn't run. I had the same problem with the previous version of OnyX and High Sierra, although it ran fine in earlier environments.

Trouble shooting steps so far, all unsuccessful:

Upgrading to Mohave, and updating OnyX,
Attempting to launch OnyX after booting into Safe Mode,
Deleting all Login Items (System Preferences-->Users & Groups) and rebooting.
Attempting to launch OnyX after rebooting, as the only running program.
Deleting Users/…./Library/Preferences/com.titanium.OnyX.plist and rebooting.

Titanium Software couldn't offer much help beyond the Suggestion 5, above.

Has any else experienced this? Anyone have other troubleshooting suggestions?

Although that may very well be true, I'd still like to know what it is in *my* system that's preventing it from running.

It may be a blessing in disguise—Onyx has been known to corrupt the macOS, I would look for other ways to sort your issues—which you have not clearly stated beyond your failed Onyx.app

OnyX is so unnecessary in modern operating systems. If you just run it at the presets it is relatively harmless but it also does little good. Most of the cache cleaning is now done automatically by the system and the less maintenance you do the better. I would just delete the app and be done with it.

I am using version 3.5.8 and not having issues. Even after updating my os to 10.14.4. As long as my version is not having any issues after my os update, I am letting sleeping dogs lie. Sorry I am of no help.
