Hi all. Suddenly, my Mac is sending mail to the junk folder that it should not. Further, when I click on the email that has been sent to the junk mail filer, there is no longer a button, as there was before, that you clicked on NOT JUNK. It's just not there anymore?? The only buttons I have are 'Load Remote Content' and "Move to inbox'. Can anyone advise why I can no longer mark as 'not junk'? Thanks in advance.

If you have an eMail highlighted that is in the Junk Folder, as you've shown, the Junk icon tuns into a Not Junk icon as is shown by the up arrow in it instead of the down arrow... test+icon helps.

Reset the junk mail filter
Resetting the junk mail filter to its original state removes what Mail learned from you whenever you marked emails as junk or not junk.
on your Mac, choose Mail > Preferences, then click Junk Mail.Thank you for that, but I already have a junk icon in the toolbar. It's in the message itself, at the top, where I cannot mark as 'not junk'. That has disappeared. See on the yellow part of the message - on the rhs there used to be a button 'not junk'. Now all I have is 'load remote content' and 'move to inbox'. I need to be able to mark some emails as 'not junk'. Cheers
Move to Inbox is equivalent, when possible.
Not all messages in the Junk mailbox can be "learned" as it was not marked as junk by Mail. So, the command is now "Move to Inbox" as opposed to Not Junk. If Mail can learn, then it will learn and move the message. If it cannot, it just moves the message.
Ok thanks for that. But on my Mac, that icon says 'move to inbox'. I've done that, yet mail keeps sending emails from the same sender to the junk folder. So I'm very frustrated. Cheers and thanks for your time.
Ah, thanks for the Move to Inbox tip... I guess Apple likes to keep us off balance.
On the junk Mail problem, quit Mail & just use WebMail in a Browser to see if new mails from that Sender are getting marked as Junk by the Server.
Hmmm, in Mail Right Click on the top Toolbar, choose customize Toolbar, then restore the Default toolbar or drag Junk to the Toolbar.
