Gray bar on ScreenTime graph

I’ve read in a few places that the gray bar on the screen time graph is “other” - i.e. not social networking, entertainment etc. However, see photo below - the time given for “other” appears much less than the time represented by a gray bar. Can anyone explain? Many thanks!

Thanks - I can see that, but the times given below my graph just don’t correlate. I can see that there’s a huge amount of social media use and small amounts of entertainment and productivity, but the amount of time taken up by the gray bar is much greater than all the other times added together. The only thing I can think of is Spotify, which is on a lot, but I’m sure it probably comes under entertainment. And in any event the tones just don’t add up to such large gray bars! #puzzled!

Understanding Screen Time Graph

All apps have been assigned to certain categories in iTunes. Screen Time has chosen top 8 categories and have put all remaining categories in a category called "Others".

There are 9 Categories in Screen Time

  1. Social Networking: FaceBook, Hangout, Instagram
  2. Games : Scrabble, PUBG
  3. Entertainment: Netflix, Amazon Music
  4. Creativity: Photos, Google Photos
  5. Productivity: HDFC Bank
  6. Education: SkyView, Learn Python
  7. Reading & Reference: Kindle, NDTV
  8. Health & Fitness: BeatO, Health, Activity
  9. Others : Big Basket,

The graph displays top 3 (Time used by user) category legends in X axis. Anything other than these legend categories is Grey bar in the graph

For example:

If the user has used Games, Entertainment & Others category apps for the maximum time during a time span then the graph will show these three categories in the X axis as legends and remaining categories will be shown in Grey Colour.

The GIF below will illustrate the graph from 3 iOS devices

iPhone SE iOS 12.1.4

iPad Pro 9.7" Wifi+Cellular iOS 12.1.4
