I transferred all my photos from my old phone to my iPhone 6 iOS 12 that I am currently using. I saw them on my albums at one time . But recently I cannot find them, they are not in “hidden “ albums. Where can I look or retrieve?

I think my son downloaded them first to a laptop then downloaded from laptop to my current phone , I will try to find out how the were transferred
