When I subscribe to a playlist, I would like a way of stopping ALL the songs in the playlist showing in my Album lists?

Playlists can stay out of your library, or its content can be added to your library. But the setting applies to all (new) playlists.

I'm not quite getting my head around it, if I have 1 album (that I own) downloaded to my iPhone it shows 1 album but if I download a playlist with 100 songs in it, it now shows that I have 101 albums.
Actually I just want to see the 1 album that I've added, not the 100 that are in the playlist. I've tried the "Add playlist songs" both checked and unchecked but cannot see any difference, and am not sure what it actually does.
I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, I've previously been using Amazon Music which doesn't add all the songs into the album lists, but I'd rather use Apple Music if I can work it out.

I think you have to delete the songs from the playlist from your library first (as any setting won’t change what already has been done); then turn off Add Playlist Songs; and then add the playlist again. Then your library would not contain the content of the playlist.

No, to listen to tracks offline, they will have to be in the library, and then downloaded from there.
Got it, I think that solves my issues.
That’s what I was hoping wouldn’t be the case, but it makes it awkward for me to work with.
