Hi there, GracePeace! Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
After reviewing your post, it sounds like you are looking for some instruction on how to delete Apple Music songs. We definitely understand that being unsure how to do that can be a concern and we'd love to help. Let’s start by reviewing this article: Delete music, movies, and TV shows from your device. Check the section titled “How to delete items in the Apple Music app”.
Please let us know if you have follow-up questions about this issue, or if the issue remains unresolved. Have a great day!
Thanks, but that's not what I asked. I don't need to know how to delete music from my device. I need to know how to delete music from a playlist NOT my library. Deleting it from my library would delete if from my device. I only want to take songs out of a PLAYLIST.
I figured it out. That instruction does work on a regular playlist. Apparently the list I was trying to edit is a smart playlist, which can only be edited by changing the rules used to set it up. Someone else had set it up (I didn't even know what a smart playlist was), so I just had to change their settings. Thanks for the help!
This does not work. I had read that instruction before, and it didn't work then and doesn't work now. I selected the item, pressed the delete key, and nothing happened.
You are welcome.
