Disable Quicklook

For OS X 10.12 used as email server, I am getting constant entries in System.log saying:

Apr 4 09:06:36 mail com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.apple.quicklook[8679]): Endpoint has been activated through legacy launch(3) APIs. Please switch to XPC or bootstrap_check_in(): com.apple.quicklook

Is there a way to disable quicklook?

It may not help, but try running/posting the Etrecheck report. Try running this program in your normal user account, then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by etresoft, a frequent contributor.  Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy Report” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown. If the log won’t post, try posting it in Pastebin and provide a link in a reply        Pastebin

Don't log into your PasteBin account when you post the report because no one will be able to see the report without knowing your logon. Paste the report without logging in. After pasting into PasteBin, copy the URL address, and paste it into a reply. It doesn't have to be a working link. Someone can copy it and paste it into the URL bar to access the report.

Usual reason for email server degradation is a misconfiguration, and that can manifest with various symptoms, sometimes including a tsunami of outbound or relay spam. Other potential issues with a mail server cab range from DNS configuration errors to spam to spam filtering.

If this is macOS with Server.app as I'd suspect, that's best upgraded to High Sierra and to Server.app prior to 5.7.1 and no later. Start planning for your migration off of Server.app, as well. Mail and other services are not available with 5.7.1 and later.

There's also always a decent change of a hardware failure, though those aren't usually tied to a specific time of day.

QuickLook is not related to an email server.

It's usually possible to paste the EtreCheck reply here by opening a reply here, and then using the button that looks like a printed page to open up a text input box that's usually large enough to paste the EtreCheck configuration report.

Problem - definitely YES, does this system log point to the problem - PROBABLY NO. Short description of problem is that after a year of successful Email server operation, the server started to degrade significantly every day around 2:30 pm. Power cycle the server always restored normal performance. Apple Care collected a lot of info that was to be delivered to Engineering for problem resolution, but no answer yet. While waiting, I was trying to summarize all the "errors" and attempt to look for any

available resolutions. Would you be available for consulting service?
