AirPods - "Slow Motion" or "Super Fast" Audio Quality Issue - Kind of like a Vinyl Turntable when you speed up or slow down

I've only seen a couple of threads like this one - it's a really difficult issue to describe.

Basically - when using my AirPods gen 2, when I would wake my phone up, or when it would fall asleep, the audio would crap out - in that it would get really high or really low and the speed of the track would change juuuuuust a little.

So unpairing and re-pairing my AirPods to my phone helped 1 time. But the next time, it didn't help.

After going through extensive troubleshooting with Kamron from Apple Supprt, a Senior Tech - we determined that Apple Music functions perfectly fine --- and the only time this issue occurs is when I'm streaming from Amazon Prime Music!

Kind of sucks because Amazon is my primary / preferred app since I've been using it for years.

Anyway - it's a software / streaming problem on Amazon's end.

Kamron said he would be adding it to the thread of similar issues that Apple has been made aware of, and their engineers will look at the problem, and it sounds like they have a relationship with the engineers at Amazon so they'll probably bring it up too.

He advised it wouldn't hurt to log a ticket with Amazon too ---- BUT we all know that Amazon's customer service isn't the best by any means. So it took forever. Finally I got someone on the phone that understood I wasn't looking for a "fix" but just wanted to make them aware so engineers / developers could look into the issue, and hopefully they can release a fix in an upcoming update.

I'm hoping this helps someone else too - the Amazon Music discovery was kind of profound, once we realized it was a problem with the app and not the AirPods - which is great, cause I just bought them!
