When the watch gets to be fully charged it notifies you with a beep. That's great, but why does it keep doing so very few minutes? It started happening after the 5-0-1 update. And still happens with the latest 5.2 version.
The watch also gets quiet hot!

Actually, it doesn't. Something is wrong. I would suspect whatever power supply you're using. Try a different one.
As Tim said, by design the Apple Watch does not beep when it is fully charged, and any sound notification that you are getting like that is an indication there is a problem.
I suggest you make an appointment with the Apple Genius Bar.
