Portrait mode for objects

I would like to use portrait mode (selective focus) for objects as well as people for example a vase with flowers in the foreground and the room in the background. The software correctly says no person was detected. I need to be able to select an object instead of a face. Help!

"add faces" button is missing Photos identifies a bunch of different people, but I'm not able to add people manually. This should be possible via the "add faces" button in the "get info" screen, but the button is missing in my case... Also, hovering over a persons face doesn't show a circle. Does anyone have a clue? ps. this is the case on my MacBook as well as on my iPhone.

How to use portrait mode for objects or pets? I am using a iPhone se 2020 . I love this iPhone. But only one problem is i can’t capture portrait of objects or pets . It can only capture images of humans only . [Re-Titled by Moderator]

You'll have to use a 3rd party camera app to do that with the iPhone Xr.
