I am preparing to send in my iPhone and I erased all content and settings,then I read the note saying if find my iPhone was turned on it wasn’t eligible for trade in. My question is if I erased everything will find my iPhone be shut off?

Erasing it does not disable activation lock, which was enabled as soon as you turned on find my iPhone originally. After erasing all content and settings do not turn on your iPhone and use your Apple ID, then find my iPhone will not be Turned On.
