Recently I began getting a link often showing up on the screen when right-clicking the mouse to go BACK. Instead of back I sometimes get this Inspect Element command and do no know what it is for or what it represents. In twenty years of using Macs I have not seen this before and wish it would quit. What is the answer?

enable Show Developer Menu in Safari's Preferences, Advanced tab. It will enable the option Inspect Element
when you right click the page. You can also start it with Command + Option + i .
You can get more info about this option in Safari for
Developers - Tools and Safari Web Inspector Guide: The Develop Menu.
To enable the "Inspect Element" option, enable "Show Developer Menu" in Safari's Preferences—>Advanced tab.
Then right click on the page to inspect.

RKM Your info enlightened me somewhat but maybe you misunderstood my original post. I do not wish to inspect ANYTHING and would not know how to do that if I wanted to. What I aim for is to get my mouse to consistently give me BACK on right clicking; stop the pop-up saying Inspect Element!.
Please note my response to RKM. I am looking to be relieved of the annoying pop-up instruction that says Inspect Element and allow my right click to enable a Back command. Hope this makes sense.
