No Passwords & Accounts option under Settings.

My iPad doesn't have the Passwords & Accounts (Gray Key Icon) option in Settings and I can't update passwords to my email accounts. So, I try the previous way by clicking on Mail>Accounts>Mail Account and all I see is the Email and Description but no option for password either. So where is the problem? I'm stumped! Please help.

Model MD511LL/A running iOS 10.3.3 (14G60) (Software Update says it's up to date).

iPad, iOS 10

Hi Flyngunr,

Thanks for taking the time to get back to us. You are correct that the Passwords & Accounts option in Settings is not available in iOS 10.3.3; it was added in iOS 11. Because of how mail accounts are set up in iOS 10.3.3 you will need to remove and re-add the mail accounts that were set up automatically in order to update their passwords.

Best Regards.

Hi Flyngunr,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. I understand that you need to update the passwords for your email accounts that you use on your iPad, but you're having trouble locating where to do so. I know how important it is to keep your passwords updated; I'm happy to help. The secondary set of steps you mentioned are the correct steps to take for what you'd like to do, however, the ability to change the password from this screen is dependent on how the account was originally set up. Certain accounts such as Exchange or manually set-up POP accounts will include an option to change the password when tapping on the account as you've described. Accounts such as Yahoo!, Gmail, or AOL that were automatically set up do not show this option. You'll need to remove the affected accounts that do not have this option and re-add them in order to update your passwords.

Best Regards.

**** and thank you for the reply.

I have 4 Hotmail accounts and 3 Gmail accounts and none of them show the password field. Does this mean I have to remove all of them and then re-add them?

Also, I didn't get a resolution as to why I don't have the Passwords & Accounts (Gray Key Icon) option on my iPad. Is this option not available in iOS 10.3.3?
