Water damaged iPhone 6s - Data recovery

Hi, I was at the vacation and I accidentally dropped my phone into the river and now it won't turn on. I called Apple and they said, that it will not work anymore and I have to buy a new phone. I wanted to upgrade the phone anyway, but I have photos inside and there are hundreds of them. Is there any solution that can make the phone turn on and I'll be able to back up the data off it? Is there anyone that can do it?

You can put the iPhone in a cool, dry place for a week then fully charge it and see if it comes on. If it does immediately back it up then move on to your upgrade.

If that doesn't work, or you can't wait that long, try to find a reputable 3rd party repair site, either in your area on online (the latter will probably entail shipping) and they may be able to get it running long enough to retrieve your photos. This will possibly remove any chance of doing an out-of-warranty replacement with Apple but since you plan on upgrading that shouldn't be an issue. Expect to pay about $300 or more.

You could try putting the phone in a ziplock bag with a lot of dry, uncooked rice for 4-5 days to try and draw out the moisture and see if it will boot. If not, Apple is unable to perform repairs to retrieve data from water-damaged iPhones. The Apple answer is to get the data from a backup, either from iTunes or iCloud.

it’s
