I see that you're having some trouble with friends hearing you in FaceTime on the Mac. I'll be happy to help out.
As a first step, make sure that the correct input device is selected by following the guidance here: Choose a camera or microphone for FaceTime calls on Mac - Apple Support Also make sure that the input device is not muted in the Video menu > Mute.
If you're still having trouble, let us know a little more information. For example, does the microphone record when using a different app like Skype or a voice recorder app? Does the internal and an external microphone have the same issue when either is selected?
