The tap to play/pause is not working with AirPods 2.

After setting the left airpod to Play/Pause, it only works once and doesn't play or pause after that.

My left AirPod is no longer responding My left airpod is no longer responding The audio in it works fine if both airpods are in my ear. There is sound coming out of it. When I double tap my airpods (2nd generation) nothing happens I am double tapping my 2nd gen airpods but it does nothing - trying to skip to next song.
