Only Apple and their partner recycler can ever tell you the actual value of your trade in. And they can only do that after they get to inspect it themselves and determine the value. And yes, anything that affects function will have some impact on the trade in value.

Have you checked the setting in Sound and Haptics to make sure it's enabled?

When the recent nuisance independent repair trolls show up on this forum, they are going to try to get you to try and have someone fix that for you before you trade it in. Don't listen to them. It's not worth it. Just take your $3.50 and buy a new phone. We can't expect things to last forever. It's a phone, not the pyramids of Egypt.
