word doc showing different information on apple products (not formatting)

I'm really not sure what topic this issue falls under, so I have selected Windows Compatibility, but if it fits somewhere else, my apologies, and please let me know where.

I have attached a word document to an email on my laptop (Lenovo) and hit send. On my laptop and on my partner’s Samsung phone, the received email is showing the correct document, but on my iphone and ipad, the document is different – not the formatting, actual information which has been deleted (the doc has been saved with a new name).

I have even tried starting the doc from scratch, and retyping the new info (not cut & paste, and have not retyped the deleted info from the old doc), but it seems to be still showing old information on my apple products.

Any thoughts?
