Can my new MacBook Air be hooked to the Internet using my iPhone Hot Spot?

I want to set up an appointment with Apple to learn about my new MacBook Air. I need an Internet connection in order to do that. My only Internet connections are with my iPhone and iPad. Can I use one of those with the hotspot to connect my MacBook Air to the Internet?
