Hi,
I have a macbook pro and whenever I try to connect to say hotel or airport wifi I get the opening login box pop up with a message at the top stating A Problem Occurred, the page cannot be loaded.
I've reloaded the MacBook back to factory settings but still have the same issues.
Can anyone help?

I've traveled many places and connected to hundreds of publicly accessible hotspots. I found that many of them required me to type in a url into my browser and try to navigate to that url. This forced the login page to open where I could agree to the terms then proceed to the Internet.

Many public networks also require that agree to the networks provider’s terms in Safari before any of your other apps will work. The following support article provides some troubleshooting steps to try for this behavior:

This doesn’t really help me as it’s an error message coming up on my macbook pro that’s the problem,
Instead of a log on screen popping up, I get the screen with an error message on it saying A problem occurred, the web page couldn’t be loaded.
My previous macbook never had this issue so would like to know why this one can’t get it’s act together !!

If loading a web url in your browser does not force the login page then contact the WiFi network provider for assistance.
Won’t that’s mean I have to do that every time I want to get online in a different location ??
Thanks for the input, but think I figured it out as switched my firewall off and on and hey presto, I'm online !
